Kathy Davis - Editor AgriBusiness, AgriVet, NZ Cropping Yearbook KD is an award-winning journalist and communications consultant who has specialised in writing about and photographing NZ’s rural sector for 20 years. Her experience includes reporting for daily newspapers and national farm magazines in both the North and South Islands, as well as contract editing, media liaison and public relations work for several large agribusiness companies. When she’s not running up huge telephone bills, she makes a dedicated effort to support Marlborough’s wine industry.
Paul Titus - Editor Rural Contractor & Large Scale Farmer, Australian AG Contractor & Large Scale Farmer Originally from California, Paul arrived in New Zealand in 1974. His first job here was making hay on a Northland farm when that meant stacking bales by hand on the back of a flatbed truck. His varied work history includes planting pinus radiata trees and a season on a fishing boat. After a stint as a university lecturer, he is now a freelance journalist based in Christchurch. In addition to editing NZ Rural Contractor and Large Scale Farmer magazine he contributes to North & South, Air NZ Panorama magazine, and Touchstone, the national Methodist newspaper.
Stuart Young - Editor *Novachem Agrichemical Manual & Novachem On-line.* Stuart has had over 30 years in the agricultural industry. He began working on farms in Marlborough, North Canterbury and Southland before achieving a Dip. Ag. at Lincoln College. Following that, he began working in agrichemical field testing, before moving into research areas such as pasture ecology, animal breeding, feed analyses, biochemical pathways, and latterly in wool biology. He maintains an interest in Quality Assurance on-Farm but spends frequent periods messing about in boats.
Paula Forde – Advertising Manager Paula has had a lifetime association with agriculture. Before joining AgriMedia she attained a degree in Agricultural Science at Lincoln University. She was one of NZ’s first women stock agents, a finance officer with Wrightsons and general manager of the Simmental Cattle Breed Society. Paula has been involved with all aspects of production and advertising of the full stable of publications at AgriMedia since their beginning in 1992.
Meagan Thiele – Graphic Artist Meagan has a natural flair for design and an eye for detail. Meagans first task when she arrived at AgriMedia was a major one - that of redesigning the whole stable of publications, The Rural Contractor, Australian AG Contractor, AgriBusiness, AgriVet & The Novachem Agrichemical manual. Meagan has worked as a graphic designer since graduating with a Bachelor of Design from Christchurch Polytechnic in 2003. As well as being the chief magazine designer with AgriMedia she is responsible for print & web based design, pre press and production co-ordination. Meagan is your main point of contact for all artwork and production enquiries.
Max Hyde – Advertising Sales Australia *Australian AG Contractor & Large Scale Farmer* Max is based in Melbourne, Victoria and has been involved with the advertising industry for over 25 years. Max has held senior sales management and marketing positions with three of the country’s major publishers, David Syme & Co., Australian Consolidated Press and News Limited. Max’s previous role was as advertising manager of the News Limited publication The Weekly Times – Australia’s largest rural weekly publication.
