Kathy is an award-winning journalist and communications consultant who has specialised in writing about and photographing NZ’s rural sector for 20 years. Her experience includes reporting for daily newspapers and national farm magazines in both the North and South Islands, as well as contract editing, media liaison and public relations work for several large agribusiness companies. When she’s not running up huge telephone bills, she makes a dedicated effort to support Marlborough’s wine industry.

Paul Titus - Editor

Originally from California, Paul arrived in New Zealand in 1974. His first job here was making hay on a Northland farm when that meant stacking bales by hand on the back of a flatbed truck. His varied work history includes planting pinus radiata trees and a season on a fishing boat. After a stint as a university lecturer, he is now a freelance journalist based in Christchurch. In addition to editing NZ Rural Contractor and Large Scale Farmer magazine he contributes to North & South, Air NZ Panorama magazine, and Touchstone, the national Methodist newspaper.

Michael’s journey into the world of print began after completing his commerce degree at Otago. His professional endeavors led him to Auckland, where he initially sold self-adhesive labels and then to selling pre-press for Colourtronic.Following this, he took on the role of managing the commercial printing division of the Timaru Herald.

In the early 2000’s Michael established his own printing company - Blueprint, a venture that has continued to thrive into the present day.

Scott Wilson - Editor

After beginning his career as a sports reporter at the Nelson Mail, Scott now has more the three decades experience in print media and contract publishing, as well as corporate communications consulting and marketing roles.

Originally from Canterbury, Scott qualified as a carpenter before taking on a number of media roles - magazine editing in the heavy transport industry and building and construction sectors, as well as short stints in broadcasting and both in front of and behind the camera in TV and video roles.

Scott has recently taken up a marketing position in the agriculture sector and is looking forward to working with those in the industry on both sides of the Tasman at a time when the sector is leading economic recovery right around the globe.

Peter Holden - Editor

Novachem Agrichemical Manual & Novachem On-line.

Long before he became editor, Peter Holden was well versed in the Novachem Manual from his long industry career in agchem manufacturing, supply and governance with Dow Agrosciences (now Corteva Agriscience), and as a board member of Agcarm. Now he’s looking forward to hands-on involvement with what he describes as an invaluable industry resource, at a time when the primary sector as a whole is facing some important challenges.

Justin Bowler – Advertising Sales

Justin Bowler is a specialist in agricultural media sales, having worked previously with both News Ltd and ACM in their rural publications division. More recently, Justin has led the ACM Ag Trader digital sales team and has a rich knowledge in digital media. He has also worked for content agency Medium Rare, who produced award winning titles such as ‘The Farmer’ and official programs for the Australian Formula 1 GP and Australian Open Tennis.
